About Travel Guy 814
The 814 is Altoona, Pennsylvania. Home base. But the idea behind the brand has always been about going beyond home — and experiencing more of the world.
The journey
Travel has been at the center of it. Airports and long flights, new cities, unfamiliar places, local experiences. Every trip an opportunity to discover something different.
One thing kept appearing in almost every destination: coffee.
A café. An airport stop. A quiet morning before heading out to explore. Or simply seeing how people somewhere else take theirs. Coffee became part of the journey.
That connection inspired the next chapter of Travel Guy 814.
Not another coffee store
The goal was never to open another coffee store. It was to share the experience of discovery — travel, different cultures, destinations, and the coffee traditions attached to them.
Today Travel Guy 814 is built on the idea that the world is full of places worth exploring and stories worth sharing. Coffee is one way of bringing a small part of that world closer to home.
Where the coffee actually comes from
Eleven countries. Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Mexico. Peru. Bali and Sumatra.
Every single origin on this site lists the region it grew in, the altitude, the variety and how the fruit was processed. Not as decoration — a washed Guatemalan grown at 1,200 meters in volcanic soil and a wet-hulled Sumatran from Aceh are genuinely different drinks, and you should be able to tell which one you are buying.
Where the grower is known, they are named. The Peru comes from the Norandino co-operative across Piura and Amazonas. The Honduras from 1,500 members of Café Orgánico Marcala. The Sumatra is wet-hulled in the Giling Basah style by the KBQB co-operative in Aceh.
Ordering
Orders leave in 1–3 business days. Standard shipping is 5–7 days, express 2–3. Tracking is emailed the moment it ships. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, tell us within 48 hours and it is replaced or refunded at no cost to you. Unopened items can be returned within 30 days; opened coffee cannot, because it is perishable.
From Altoona to destinations around the world, the journey continues.
